SHINER RELEASES TEXAS LEGEND BOURBON
The makers of the iconic Shiner Bock are proud to announce Shiner Texas Legend, the first ever bourbon from Shiner, a limited release now available exclusively at the K. Spoetzl Brewery & Distillery. Texas Legend originates from the distillery’s very first bourbon distillation on March 30, 2023 and is a selection from the first five barrels filled. After three Texas summers, Texas Legend delivers a full-bodied profile with notes of sweet oak, caramel and baking spice, layered with hints of orange, vanilla and maple. Exceptionally smooth, it finishes with lingering notes of soft clove. Priced at $199, this release captures the craftsmanship and independent spirit of Texas in every pour.
“With Shiner Texas Legend Bourbon, our team wanted to create something that feels timeless but unmistakably Texan,” said Tom Fiorenzi, Director of Brewery and Distillery Operations. “It’s smooth and balanced with a rich aroma and the depth you’d expect from a classic bourbon, yet it carries a distinct Texas character thanks to natural aging on all American oak by our South Texas climate in our rickhouse. We’re excited to share it.”
Texas Legend was crafted from a corn-dominant four grain mash bill of Yellow Dent Corn, Malted Wheat, Winter Rye, and Two-Row Malted Barley. It was aged in naturally seasoned heavy toast level 3 char American white oak and bottled at a robust cask strength of 109 proof (54.5% ABV).
To celebrate the release, Shiner will host a launch event at Rickhouse, Shiner’s brand-new distillery and restaurant, on Saturday, November 1, 2025. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with complimentary coffee and breakfast tacos, leading up to the official release of Texas Legend at 11 a.m. Guests can purchase bottles of the inaugural Texas Legend release as well as Shiner’s 90 proof Texas Bourbon.
